Ubisoft's XDefiant Delayed Again

Despite Earning Report Implications

By Russ Milheim

Ubisoft's XDefiant has been delayed again, despite the company's earning report implying a release before March 31, 2024.

The fast arena shooter was originally scheduled to release in 2022, but was delayed to 2023. It was then delayed again to early 2024.

In a statement, Ubisoft said that the delay is due to the need for more time to polish the game and ensure that it meets the company's quality standards.

XDefiant is a free-to-play first-person shooter that features a variety of characters and abilities. The game is set in the Tom Clancy universe and features characters from Rainbow Six Siege, Ghost Recon, and The Division.

The game will now be released on May 21, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

This delay is disappointing news for fans of the game, but it is ultimately a good thing. Ubisoft is taking the time to make sure that XDefiant is the best game it can be, and that it meets the expectations of fans.
